TAMIU Planetarium Christmas Show Set Saturday, Dec. 17

 

Mystery of the Christmas Star
 

Take a break from crowded stores and the hustle and bustle of the season and enjoy a special Christmas season show, “Mystery of the Christmas Star,” at the Texas A&M International University Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium Saturday, Dec. 17.

Show times are at 3, 5 and 7 p.m.

General admission is $5. Tickets will go on sale at the box office one hour prior to the show time.

Included with the feature, “Mystery of the Christmas Star,” is a live musical accompaniment by Dr. Colin Campbell, University Organist.

The Planetarium will also be collecting unwrapped toys to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Laredo/Webb County for the children who receive services there. Toy weapons will not be accepted.

“Mystery of the Christmas Star” will take audiences on a journey back over 2000 years to Bethlehem and seek to discover a scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus.

This modern retelling of the Christmas story is sure to charm and captivate audiences of all ages.
